5 things people dislike about living in the Twin Cities
If you're considering moving to the Twin Cities, there are a few things to keep in mind.
The cost of living in the metro area can be a bit of a shock, particularly when it comes to housing prices. You may want to prepare for a bit of sticker shock, as you may be buying less square footage for your money than you would in other cities.
Another downside is the traffic and congestion. While the area has some interesting innovations in terms of bike lanes and carpooling lanes, the traffic can still be a bit of a nuisance. Again, it all depends on where you are coming from and if you are used to a slower lifestyle. There are pockets that are worse than others.
Of course, I have to mention winter. The weather can be a bit of a challenge for some, as Minnesota has true four seasons, including cold winters with snow and ice. On the other hand, this area has a lot to offer, including a lack of big bugs and a wide range of outdoor activities for those who enjoy them. If you're someone who loves the changing seasons and doesn't mind the cold, the Twin Cities may be the perfect place for you to call home.
This is a vibrant and diverse community with great culture, education, and entertainment opportunities. It's a great place to live and work. If you put yourself out there to meet new friends; you will find people that have similar interests. Just like moving to any new area; it will take a bit of effort!
